Since joining Denver Liberty University in 2003, Professor John has taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Advanced Epidemiology, Health Policy and Management, and Global Health Issues. His contributions to the academic community are exemplified through his influential research on chronic disease prevention, health disparities, and health systems strengthening. He is the author of the critically acclaimed book Public Health Paradigms: Strategies for Managing Chronic Diseases (University of California Press, 2018) and has published numerous articles in top-tier journals such as The Lancet and American Journal of Public Health.

Professor John is also an accomplished public health consultant, having worked with several national and international organizations to design and implement effective health programs. His expertise has led to collaborations with the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the National Institutes of Health, where he has been involved in projects aimed at improving health outcomes on a global scale.

In addition to his academic achievements, Professor John is a recognized leader in the public health community. He has served as a member of the National Advisory Committee on Chronic Disease Prevention and is a fellow of the American Public Health Association. His commitment to advancing public health extends beyond his research and teaching, as he actively engages in community outreach initiatives aimed at improving health equity and access to care.

Professor John earned his B.S. in Health Sciences from the University of Michigan and his Ph.D. in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. His academic background and extensive experience continue to shape his approach to both teaching and research, making him a vital asset to the Denver Liberty University community.
